What are the State Filing Requirements for Employers
After congress voted to eliminate the federal individual mandate under the Affordable Care Act, several states responded by requiring health coverage providers to report this information at the state level. The states of California, Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, Rhode Island, and New Jersey have mandated that employers report their health coverage offered to the employees at the state level. Several more states are considering implementing state-mandated ACA reporting in the coming years.
